What Does This Include?:

During our comprehensive dog obedience training program, your dog will stay with us for twelve weeks, receiving personalized attention and professional dog training to master essential commands, fostering a positive and lasting transformation for both you and your dog. 

Our comprehensive training program includes a range of techniques tailored to provide practical support and assistance in managing symptoms and promoting well-being. Here's what our PTSD/Anxiety/Panic Attack Service Dog Training package includes:

1. Front Blocking: A technique used to create physical space between the handler and surrounding individuals or stimuli. The dog is trained to stand in front of the handler, acting as a barrier to prevent others from approaching too closely. This technique is particularly helpful in crowded or overwhelming environments to provide the handler with a sense of security and protection.
2. Center Walking: Center walking involves training the dog to maintain a specific position beside or slightly behind the handler while walking. The dog is taught to walk calmly and attentively beside the handler's leg, maintaining focus and providing support during outings. This technique promotes safe and controlled walking experiences, enhancing the handler's confidence and independence.
3. Panic/Anxiety Attack: Panic/anxiety attack response training involves teaching the dog to recognize signs of an impending panic or anxiety attack in the handler. Once the signs are detected, the dog is trained to provide comfort, support, and specific tasks to help alleviate symptoms. These tasks may include deep pressure therapy, alerting caregivers, fetching medication, or guiding the handler to a safe location.
4. Back Blocking: Back blocking is a technique similar to front blocking but involves the dog standing behind the handler to create space and prevent individuals from approaching from behind. This technique adds an additional layer of security, particularly in crowded or unfamiliar environments where the handler may feel vulnerable to unexpected contact or intrusion.
5. Deep Pressure Therapy: Deep pressure therapy (DPT) involves the dog applying gentle pressure to the handler's body during moments of distress, anxiety, or sensory overload. The dog may lean against the handler's legs, lie across their lap, or provide full-body contact to promote relaxation and calmness. DPT can help reduce anxiety symptoms, regulate breathing and heart rate, and provide a sense of comfort and security during stressful situations.

What Does This Include?:

During our comprehensive dog obedience training program, your dog will stay with us for eight weeks, receiving personalized attention and professional dog training to master essential commands, fostering a positive and lasting transformation for both you and your dog. 

Basic Off-Leash Commands:

1. Sit: Establishing immediate and reliable response.
2. Stay: Reinforcing discipline and focus in various environments.
3. Come: Cultivating dependable recall for off-leash freedom.
4. Down: Promoting calmness and obedience without the need for a leash.

Advanced Off-Leash Commands:

1. Heel:  Enjoy the pleasure of having your dog walk gracefully by your side, un-tethered 
2. Leave It: Building impulse control and reinforcing boundaries
3. Accepting a friendly stranger
4. Not jump on people when interacting
5. Walk on a leash without pulling
6. Reaction to distraction (desensitized)
7. Be calm for petting
8. Not be afraid of people walking unsteadily
9. Calmly be capable of receiving treats/toys from strangers 
10. Walking through a crowd
11. Sit and down on cue and stay in place
12. Coming when called
13. Reaction to another dog (socialization)

Please note: We certify Service Dogs, but we do not certify Therapy Dogs. Our Therapy Dog services are specifically for individuals interested in bringing their Therapy Dog to facilities that do not require certification.
